Hello from Vegas! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your week. My weekend has been amazing, overwhelming, exciting, jet-lagged, and incredible all at once. I feel so lucky to be able to get to visit Vegas, there is so much to do and so much to see. Our competition is today, Monday, and then after that our time is free. I’m excited to be able to explore a city that has so much to offer. Here’s hoping I don’t go bankrupt in the process. ;p I’m not sure what my posting schedule will be like so if you’re interested in following along on my Vegas adventure check out my Twitter and Instagram. I’ve been doing a great job of updating those. I’ll be doing recaps of my trip but I thought it would be fun to share some airline pictures I snapped. The flight to Vegas from PA is definitely a scenic one.

The Rocky Mountains. I flew US Air and loved how the Pilot would point out interesting facts as we passed by places. I had a window seat and thought it was so cool to get to see the one lane airport in the middle of the mountains. It’s built on the side of a mountain, if you don’t get up in the air by the end of it there’s only down to go. The one downside of US Air, it was the first plane I’ve ever flown on that didn’t offer any sort of snack on the plane. With how long we were in the air I was expecting meal options so I was pretty disappointed with that.

The outskirts of the Grand Canyon. If you look towards the back of the picture you can see some of the bigger parts of the canyon. Even though I lived in California when I was younger I’ve always considered myself an East Coast girl. It was so exciting to get to see major US landmarks that East Coasters don’t visit often. We may be renting a vehicle and driving out to the Grand Canyon one of the days we’re here, we’ll see if that happens!
