I had Boston on my mind today. Over breakfast I read about the preparations for the race. My Twitter feed was keeping me updated throughout the day as the race progressed and the winners were announced. And tonight as I scrolled through my Instagram feed and saw pictures of bloggers I’ve met with finisher’s medals my heart was happy. I’m so happy for runners, for Boston, and for all of us in the US. Today

For all of you that celebrated, I hope you had a wonderful Easter yesterday. Josh got really sick Saturday night so we ended up not getting to bed until most people were waking up Easter morning. Sunday Josh was still feeling a little under the weather and we were both exhausted. Despite that, we both had an amazing day. We woke up to presents from Josh’s parents, celebrated Easter with Molly’s incredible family, came home

Happy Friday! Who’s ready for Easter weekend? I know I am! Bring on sundresses, Easter brunch, and time with good friends. I can’t believe it’s already time to do this again but here’s my Friday 5 wrap-up for the week.
1. I went to the new members meeting for the Omaha Junior League yesterday. I love that this organization is dedicated to helping others while encouraging socialization among its members. Omaha Junior League

A fun night with girlfriends getting dinner at Marks and dessert at ECreamery. ECreamery’s Irish Cream ice cream is the bomb dot com.
Our running buddy Gizmo. Josh and I were running a 5k around Regency when this little guy trotted up to me and started covering me in kisses. Thankfully he had tags and we were able to find his owners. He was loving his little adventure. I’m so glad we were

Do you guys remember my pancake post from a few weeks ago?
These Bananas Foster Pancakes were so delicious. I wish I could eat some more right now!
Well shortly after I posted my pancake recipe I received a sweet surprise from Stonyfield. Apparently they liked the pancakes too!
They sent me a Le Creuset Bistro Griddle so I can make pancakes on the best possible surface. When Josh and I were

Thanks for all the comments on yesterday’s post. I love that you guys are tea fans too. I alluded to my weekend yesterday, but thought I would do a post recapping what I’ve been up to.
Chicken curry from Marrakech, a red velvet cupcake from Jones Bros, and Divergent with my girlfriends. Ignore all the bad things you’ve heard about this movie. If you’re a fan of the books you will love it. I

This weekend was a busy one for Josh. While I was doing fun things like seeing Divergent, going to a blog meetup, and spending my Sunday at a bridal shower, Josh was sequestered in his office grading papers and writing up a test. The end of the semester is a busy time for Professors!
When I got home from Molly’s bridal shower on Sunday afternoon I decided Josh needed a little work break. It

Happy Friday! I’ve got so much to look forward to this weekend. I’m going to a fish fry, running a 5k with some of my girlfriends, and trying out a new brunch spot. It should be a fun time. It’s also time for another 5 Facts Friday!
1. Why you should ditch sugar in favor of honey. Ever since I took a class on honey I have become a huge honey advocate. I eat it

Happy first day of Spring! I’m celebrating with my final recap of our trip to Cancun. It was 75 degrees and sunny every day we were there, giving us lots of time for fun activities. Here’s some of the highlights:
It was nice having the mall right across the street from us. There were so many stores to duck into and check out.
I got really excited when I saw this

If I had to sum up our food experience in Cancun in one word it would be guacamole. Thankfully I get a lot more words to tell you about all the delicious foods we had on our trip. I’m very fortunate that Josh and I are the same when it comes to eating on vacation. We both like to explore and visit an area through food. I’m not one to buy lots of nice souvenirs
