I had Boston on my mind today. Over breakfast I read about the preparations for the race. My Twitter feed was keeping me updated throughout the day as the race progressed and the winners were announced. And tonight as I scrolled through my Instagram feed and saw pictures of bloggers I’ve met with finisher’s medals my heart was happy. I’m so happy for runners, for Boston, and for all of us in the US. Today

Life is busy. Some people can juggle a crazy schedule and make it look effortless. I am not that kind of girl. I’ve got a job, a side job, a blog, a husband, family, and friends. I’m usually running from one place to the next on my never-ending to-do list. And I never get enough sleep. (I’m really working on that one this year.) At times life can feel like a marathon (if, you know,

I’m so excited it’s Friday! I have a lot to do this weekend. I want to work on some blog things and get down to business planning our upcoming trip to Hawaii. I also want to go for a run and rock another Zumba class. The weather is supposed to be beautiful!
1. Speaking of Zumba, we cooled down to this song last week and it seriously made my day. It’s so positive and

A fun night with girlfriends getting dinner at Marks and dessert at ECreamery. ECreamery’s Irish Cream ice cream is the bomb dot com.
Our running buddy Gizmo. Josh and I were running a 5k around Regency when this little guy trotted up to me and started covering me in kisses. Thankfully he had tags and we were able to find his owners. He was loving his little adventure. I’m so glad we were

This past Saturday I woke up early to meet up with some of my girlfriends for a race. It was colder than expected. (I think like 9 degrees?) But I was excited for the race so I dragged myself out of bed and got into some cold weather race gear.
The five of us ran the Diva Dash 5k in Aksarben. We were the Pavement Princesses. We had a tutu making party a month

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m taking a break from honeymoon recaps to share a fun St. Patrick’s day recap. Erin go Braugh! I’m very proud to be Irish and was excited to get to celebrate such a fun holiday in a unique way this year.
Josh and I ran a 5k! We signed up for the Blarney Stone 5k with Jeff and Joanna a while back and were looking forward to a festive run.

It’s Friday! Which means it’s time for another Five Facts Friday.
1. I spent the day yesterday with some great co-workers at the Greater Omaha Young Professionals Summit. It was an amazing conference filled with useful seminars designed to help you grow professionally, personally, and philanthropically. I tweeted out a lot of the advice that really resonated with me on Twitter, so make sure to check out my feed if you want a play-by-play

I hope you had a great Mardi Gras. I had dinner and drinks with girlfriends and grabbed (more) drinks with Josh. It was fun getting into the spirit of the day.
Maybe I got a little too into the spirit. ;p
Something I can never get too into is running.
Do you want to get silly and dress up in a costume? There’s races for that. (Please notice

I know this week has been extra fitness-focused on here, but after not being able to work out for so long, it feels so good to be able to move again!
A little over a month ago I got these super sweet Reebok ZQuicks to test out and review. Seriously, how beautiful are they? I had never run in Reebok sneakers

I have a mantra in life. It’s “work smarter, not harder.” This may sound strange to some, but know it’s not about putting down hard work. It’s about not doing unnecessary hard work when there’s a smarter way to handle the situation. If you’re hitting a brick wall over and over again maybe it’s time to stop throwing yourself at the brick wall
