Welcome!

My name is Erin and I am a 22-year-old marketing major. I live in Williamsport, PA and love to shop, eat, play with my puppies, and spend time with my fiancé in State College. I am trying to lead a healthy life fueled by good food and exercise. That is not to say I don't love a cannoli now and then. I'm striving for a healthy balance and blogging about the journey along the way.

My College Graduation and Bridal Shower

Erin Smith Graduation Girl Gone Veggie 2013

Hey guys! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine was amazing and jam packed. I definitely passed out on the couch last night and didn’t move until I had to go to work. Now that I’ve slept and worked, here’s a recap of my weekend:

I’m officially a college graduate! I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing.

Graduation was at the Community Arts Center in

Graduation

Erin Smith Graduation Girl Gone Veggie

I graduate college today!

This was high school me. I can’t believe that was five years ago.

It feels weird to close such a big chapter in my life. I’ve gone to school since I can remember. Its always kind of been my thing. I definitely want to go for my MBA soon, but I’d like to get some more work experience first.  Hopefully there’s a nice marketing firm in Omaha that wants me!

Hey guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your day. This weekend (and Monday at work) passed by in the blink of an eye. It involved a lot of wedding prep and getting ready for graduation. Here’s my weekend recap in pictures. All the photos were taken on my phone since my camera is dying a slow sad death. I have to do some research later to find out what new model is

A Weekend House Party

Farro with spinach, red pepper, onions, and goat cheese anyone?

Josh and I made this for dinner Friday night after a long work week. I was so excited to get to see him and enjoy some delicious food. Friday night we also went for our first couple run together in a long time. We ran/walked a 5k and it felt good to accomplish after running so little all winter. I was slowed down a

What Happens in Vegas

I’m sorry things have been a little quiet over here lately. Between school starting this week and packing like a madwoman time has been flying. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it on here before but I’m leaving for Las Vegas for a week this Saturday for a school competition. I have never been before and to say I’m excited is a huge understatement.

We’re staying at The Flamingo on the strip. I have no

Financing Your College Degree

As of this posting, only one semester stands between me and a Bachelor’s Degree! I’m so happy to be done with this semester and finals! As long as I keep my grades exactly as they are, I’ll be graduating summa cum laude in May. Thinking about graduating next semester is both exciting and terrifying. A college degree brings real job opportunities, a sense of achievement, and real bills.

When I started thinking

A Christmas Tree and a Menorah

Hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Like always, it passed by way too quick. Josh and I had a lot on our agenda.

We went to a Christmas party! Josh’s program was hosting a party and it was such a fun time. Josh’s program is so nice and I feel so lucky to consider so many of them good friends. There was definitely a packed house. This is our first Christmas

Finding Happiness (Or That Time I Jumped Off A Cliff)

The holiday season is always a time of reflection for me. As the year comes to an end with a month filled with celebrations and festivities I always find myself looking back on where I’ve been and thinking forward to where I want to go. And my mind always seems to ponder happiness. What is happiness? Everyone wants it. Everyone wants a happy life, happy relationship, and a job that makes you happy. But happiness

The Asthma Diagnosis

I had my long awaited methacholine test this past Friday. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but from what I read online it said it was a physically demanding test and that it took about an hour. I got to the hospital at 2:30 and met an awesome lung technician named Norm who immediately put me at ease. He was so nice and walked me through the whole process. Basically they get your
